Green Roof Chicken Coopwww.GreenRoofChickenCoop.com is just a cool concept. They have a chicken coop that looks good and includes a garden on top. Thus, it has a green roof!!! This site offers plans, pre-cut and pre-primed kits as well as fully assembled coops. They even have an option to pre-drill the pilot holes. It really seems like they’re conscious of the environment with their design. It seems like their utilizing the organic waste provided by the chickens to fertilize the green roof. The coop looks like it could be expandable as well by placing the coops side by side. The coop looks easy to clean, easy to collect the eggs, easy access to the chickens and we think it looks pretty cool as well. Honestly, it’s one of the most innovative coops we’ve seen. It’s progressive, efficient and aesthetically pleasing. Whether you’re a do-it-yourselfer or you just want a cool chicken coop delivered to your door, greenroofchickencoop.com has something for everyone. We highly recommend taking a look at this site.

Building a Chicken Coopwww.BuildingAChickenCoop.com is great site we found that is dedicated to a set of chicken coop plans. After reading their plans and testing them in our backyard, we found that they offer a nice set of instructions and a very reasonable price. The plans cost $29.95 and they include step-by-step instructions on how to build a chicken coop using basic tools that you probably already have in your garage. Plus, they include four bonuses you get for FREE! If you are thinking that you'd rather spend a couple thousand dollars on a pre-assembled coop or a coop kit, then don't waste your time at this website. If you are, however, DIY-minded and not scared of a trip to the local hardware store, then this website is a place you need to check out.Building a Chicken Coop Picture They offer small options as well as big options with a lot of discussion concerning the chicken run options. We do recommend that only people comfortable with basic woodworking skills consider building a coop at home. And, you do need to have a saw, drill, screws and a screw driver. But, other than that, there's really no reason at all not to visit this site, buy some plans for less than $30 and get on your way.

Catawba ConvertiCoops Logowww.CatawbaCoops.com is a great website we found that has chicken coop plans for sale for only $19.99. The plans are not only functional, but also pretty great looking. Basically, if you are familiar with chicken coops, you'd call their plans a chicken tractor. The author seems to be on top of things, and is an avid chicken man - so you have to give him a lot of credit. He raises chickens in an urban environment, and I'm quite sure his plans will work well in the country as well. We reviewed his entire site and found it quite complete.Catawba Coop Image He has a FAQ section, which is always nice, and he has also launched a chicken "blog". We also tested his plans in our test "back yard" and they worked like a charm!  In any case, the site is top notch, much better than most chicken websites that we have found, and we highly recommend checking it out. For about 20 bucks, you really can get a decent plan, and you certainly don't want to try to put your birds in a sub par coop. Either they'll get away, or something will get to them - neither is a great scenario!
