how many chhickens can you have per sq. ft. in North Carolina
Common answer is 2-4 sq ft per chicken... it depends on how much room they have in the run... or if theyre free range? At night, they pretty much all huddle up together on the roost... and take up very little space...
Its not a definitive answer... four square feet is the pampered chicken... and two square feet is getting a little crowded... Im talking about hen house space... so its dependent on the run and free range options.... also depends oh how large your hens are. Hope that helps!
